Leadership has no Ranks & Scene Command Made Easy

Chief Conrad Landry, MBA, Moncton Fire Department, NB

Leadership has no Ranks is an interactive presentation on today’s leaders in the fire leadership. Participants will leave this session with easy tools that can be applied immediately and for the rest of their careers. Chief Landry shares his experience dealing with challenging situations and difficult people. ”Some of the best leaders I have seen in my career have the rank of Firefighter” (Chief Conrad Landry, 2019).

Scene Command Made Easy is based on Chief Landry’s personal experience commanding emergency scenes. The participants will learn easy steps to set up and manage various incidents. The presentation includes communication, accountability, Incident Command Post, Rapid Intervention Team, Situational Awareness and others. “These concepts will be reinforced with videos of actual scenes that I commanded” (Chief Conrad Landry, 2019).

Conrad Landry began his career as a Paramedic in 1988. In 2001 he became a firefighter and is currently the Fire Chief and Director of the Emergency Management Organization for the city of Moncton.
