Acadia At a Glance

Founded in 1838, Acadia University is one of the oldest and most respected liberal arts universities in Canada. Located just a one-hour drive from Halifax, Nova Scotia and its international airport, Acadia is an integral part of the quintessential college town of Wolfville, overlooking the Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy. When you step onto campus you enter a world of opportunity.

The Campus

Acadia University’s campus is beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that we often hear this phrase, “I visited campus and fell in love.” Just steps beyond Acadia’s campus you can explore a rich, natural environment that includes the world’s highest tides, vineyards, woodland trails, and farmlands.

Campus Security

We can be reached 24/7/365 by calling 585-1103 or 88 from any 585 exchange or classroom phone.

A focus on sustainability and local community support provides the freshest and healthiest products. Come for a cup of fair trade Just Us! Hacha Java blend coffee—students’ choice and exclusive to Acadia campus—and enjoy the stunning atmosphere and ocean view from the dining room.

THE AXE BAR & GRILL

Welcome to the Axe Bar & Grill, your official campus bar and community hub.

The newly renovated Axe is found in the Student Union Building on the bottom level and is student run and student led. The Axe is the site for the best Friday night parties this campus sees, and of course our Wing and Trivia Night on Wednesdays are always packed to capacity. In addition to this, we offer great food at affordable prices. The space transforms from a hangout place and restaurant during the day to a bumping social space at night.
